Bloom Maternity respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information you provide when using the Bloom Maternity mobile application and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it is stored and protected, and the choices available to you.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Bloom Maternity, we may collect account information such as your email address, password authentication information, name or display name, profile information, and Google account information when you choose Google Sign-In. We do not receive or store your Google account password. If you choose to use relevant features, we may store pregnancy dates and estimated due date, pregnancy week and progress information, symptoms, weight records, appointments, personal notes, and pregnancy-related milestones. You choose what information to enter. You may also upload ultrasound reports or images, medical documents, pregnancy-related reports, and other files. Certain device and technical information may be collected automatically, including device information, operating system and app version, crash and diagnostic information, authentication and security information, and anonymous or aggregated usage information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We may use collected information to create and manage your account, authenticate you securely, provide pregnancy tracking features, store and display your pregnancy records, store uploaded documents and images, provide reminders and notifications, improve application performance and reliability, detect and investigate security or technical problems, analyze general application usage, respond to support requests, and comply with applicable legal obligations. We do not use your pregnancy information to provide medical diagnosis or treatment.
3. Firebase and Third-Party Services
Bloom Maternity uses Google Firebase services to operate and secure the application. These may include Firebase Authentication for registration, login, verification, password reset, and Google Sign-In; Cloud Firestore for application data; Firebase Storage for files and images; Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications; Firebase Analytics for general usage; Firebase Crashlytics for crashes and technical problems; and Firebase App Check as an additional security measure. Google may process information according to its own privacy policies and terms.
4. How We Protect Your Information
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Authentication is handled through Firebase Authentication, and application data is protected using access controls and Firebase security rules. However, no electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
5. Your Data and Account
You may access, update, or delete certain information through the application where those functions are available. You may request deletion of your Bloom Maternity account and associated personal data by contacting us. We will take reasonable steps to delete associated personal information, subject to legitimate legal, security, or operational requirements.
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain account functionality, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer required, we may delete or anonymize it.
7. Children’s Privacy
Bloom Maternity is intended for individuals who are legally able to use the service and is not designed for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
8. Medical Disclaimer
Bloom Maternity is an informational and organizational application. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, emergency medical services, or professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice or concerns about your pregnancy or health. In an emergency, contact your local emergency medical service or healthcare provider.
9. Notifications
Bloom Maternity may send notifications related to application features, pregnancy information, reminders, appointments, and other relevant updates. You can manage notification permissions through your device settings.
10. International Data Processing
Your information may be processed and stored using infrastructure operated by service providers, including Google Firebase, which may process information in countries other than your country of residence.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the application, services, technology, or legal requirements. Significant changes will include an updated “Last Updated” date.
